Get To Know Us!
Pleasant Hill has been part of our community for 160 years. That is a long and rich legacy. It would be easy for our legacy to be one of survival. We have made it — through a civil war, two world wars, economic downturns and turmoil in our country. The church has survived, but our legacy should be more than just one of survival. Our legacy must be one of lives that have been changed by the truth. In the past men and women have taken this task seriously. If you walk through the cemetery you will see the names of so many who sacrificed so that the truth of God’s Word could be proclaimed. Now it is our turn! What will we do to make sure that our legacy continues to be changed lives? What will we do to seek the lost, mature the Christian and serve in the community? What role will you play in the Legacy of Pleasant Hill.
Our Vision
The vision of Pleasant Hill is to be “United in Christ, Seeking The Lost, Maturing The Christian and Serving The Community.”
Leadership Team:
In keeping with the example set in the book of Acts, our congregation is led by a team of Elders. Our four Elders, Leo Beller, Jim Faix, Doug Lanier and Lawrence Parker, are men who love the Lord, His Word and His Church. Their Leadership and dedication sets a strong example for Pleasant Hill.
In addition to our Elders we also have a team of Deacons. These servants help lead and support our ministries while serving wherever needed.

What We Believe:
What We Believe
We believe in one God who is three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is
the Creator of all things. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in Jesus Christ; God’s only Son who died on the cross for our sins and was
raised from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who begins to dwell within us at baptism, who convicts us of
and equips us for growth and service. (John 16:8-9, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13-14)
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe that God created man with free will and man willfully sins against God.
Sins separates man from God and man is lost without Jesus Christ.
(Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)
We believe salvation is offered to all mankind through the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Peter 1:19)
We believe the Bible clearly teaches a plan of salvation through faith in Christ,
repenting of sin, confessing Jesus publicly, and by being baptized into Christ.
(Acts 2:36-38, Romans 10:9, Mark 16:16)
We believe that baptism by immersion is the commanded method of baptism as found
in the Scriptures, and best depicts our union with Christ in His death, burial, and
resurrection. (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, John 3:13)
We believe the church is the body and bride of Christ on earth, founded on the
Day of Pentecost. (Matthew 16:13-18, Acts 2)
We believe death seals the eternal destiny of each person. When Christ returns, he will
pronounce the fate of each individual- the saved to eternal life in heaven, the unsaved to
eternal separation from God in hell. (John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:10&15, Revelation 21:1-4)
